Field Technician – Vegetation Management
The Field Technician supports daily vegetation management and site maintenance operations across commercial, infrastructure, and public-sector properties. This role performs hands-on fieldwork while maintaining strict adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
Perform mowing, trimming, brush clearing, and general vegetation control
Invasive species management using mechanical or approved herbicidal methods
Support erosion control, debris removal, and site restoration activities
Operate handheld tools, power equipment, and light machinery safely
Follow site-specific safety plans, environmental requirements, and company procedures
Maintain accurate work logs and communicate field conditions to supervisors
Ability to work outdoors in varying terrain and weather conditions
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
Prior landscaping, land management, or construction experience preferred
Crew Lead – Vegetation Management
The Crew Lead directs field personnel and oversees daily execution of vegetation management projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
Supervise field technicians and coordinate daily work assignments
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, safety plans, and environmental regulations
Ability to perform confidently in sensitive, high-visibility, or regulated environments
Operate and oversee use of mowers, skid steers, mulchers and specialty vegetation equipment
Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance
Communicate project updates, site conditions, and resource needs to management
Train crew members on PPE, safe work practices, proper equipment use and terrain awareness
Demonstrated leadership experience in landscaping, land management, or construction
Strong knowledge of vegetation control methods and equipment operation
Ability to read site maps, work orders, and project specifications
Valid driver’s license required; CDL strongly preferred
